Beaumont’s restaurant scene has grown immensely over the past decade with Restaurant Week (November 10-17) a celebration of the local dining scene. All the top spots in town will have special menus in addition to their standard offerings highlighting signature dishes and house favorites at a variety of price points. So throw on your stretchy pants and get to tasting because here’s why it’s high time to eat out:
1. Try a New Restaurant
Have you been meaning to try that new spot and it just kept slipping your mind or you just haven’t found the time yet? It’s time to finally check that new restaurant off your list and potentially find your new favorite spot in town. With restaurants from Lake Charles to downtown Beaumont, it’s an opportunity to literally taste the Triangle.
2. Revisit an Old Favorite
The reliable staples are great because they’re consistently good meals you can count on. But you probably have a go-to dish or order you don’t deviate from. Restaurant Week is a great opportunity to enjoy one of your favorite meals while getting to try other stuff on the menu you probably haven’t looked at in eons.
3. Discount Dining
Participating restaurants will have special menus for $10, $20, and/or $40 that allow you to get a complete meal at deeply discounted prices. With appetizers, entrees, and desserts, it’ll be a feast for the table. Be sure to share with friends so you each get to try a bite of everything. Visit http://www.beaumontcvb.com/restaurantweek/ to see the full list of participating restaurants.
4. Eat Your Way Around the World
From Tex-Mex to sushi and everything in between, Beaumont is a global smorgasbord of flavors. Never tried Thai or Creole cuisine? There’s no better time to find your new favorite crave. Get cultured through food with Mexican from Tacos La Bamba, Vietnamese from Sweet Basil, and a variety of other international favorites.
5. An Excuse Not to Cook
Go out or stay in? No brainer. With 20+ restaurants participating, you don’t have to worry about what you’re going to cook all week as you can eat at a different restaurant every night of the week for the price of your weekly grocery haul.
6. A Reason to Meet Up with Friends or Have Date Night
When’s the last time you had a parent’s night out or a kid-free evening? If you have to think about it, you’re probably overdue (and even if you’re not, who doesn’t like an excuse to socialize?). Take this opportunity to book the babysitter.
7. You Could Win Even More Free Stuff
Share your dining pics with us using the hashtag #EATBMT. We’ll pick our favorite food photos to win cool swag, restaurant gift cards, and the chance to be featured in our photo gallery. Come hungry, leave happy.
